MoontonMobile Legends: Bang Bang Has Amassed $ 502.5 Million In Lifetime Gross Revenue, Says Sensor Tower.
The hugely popular MOBA has seen user spending increase every year since its launch in 2016, peaking at $ 214.1 million in 2019, a 36% increase from 2018. December 2019 was the best month in the game , thanks in large part to its version 2.9 update which helped it gross $ 24.4 million.
Asia claimed the bulk of user spending with $ 307 million, or 61% of total revenue, even though the title is not available in China.
Digging deeper, players in Malaysia accounted for the highest amount of spend at $ 87.5 million or 17% of revenue. Indonesia came second with $ 69.2 million or 14 percent, while the United States took third place with $ 64.1 million or 12.8 percent.
Mobile Legends downloads have now topped 281.3 million, with Asia again topping the top with 212.1 million, or 75% of the total. At the country level, Indonesia made up the bulk of installations with 100.1 million or 36%.
The Philippines followed with 42.1 million downloads or 15%, before Vietnam took third place with 21.3 million or 8% of overall installs.
Mobile Legends managed to turn the tide last year, seeing significant growth in the first quarter despite a broader downward trajectory for the MOBA genre in the United States.
